Simeon Panda is one of the biggest fitness influencers in the world.
He is known for his incredible physique and his ripped six-pack abs. However, his chest is on a completely different level!
So how did he build his unbelievable chest? Does he have a secret chest routine, or is he just gifted for overall chest development?
Simeon Panda trains his chest one day per week using powerbuilding-style workouts.
He likes to perform 2 heavy compound movements at the start of his workout with maximum weight, and then finish his workout with 2 higher-rep isolation exercises to work the chest through a full range of motion.
Simeon says this combination of heavy compound movements and lighter isolation exercises is the best way to train for overall chest growth.
Here is one of Simeon Panda’s powerbuilding chest workouts that you can try. Check it out:

Talk about an intense workout!
This is a perfect example of how Simeon Panda likes to train his chest. He starts his workout with 2 heavy exercises.
In this workout, he used the flat dumbbell press and the 30 degree incline bench press as his main “mass-building movements.”
After that, he performed some high-rep isolation exercises including cable crossovers and the 30 degree incline scoop fly.
“This is my regular session. High volume, quite basic, short, small amount of exercises. And me just banging out some heavy weight.”
During the workout Simeon Panda offers some great advice on the importance of warming up.
He says you should start out light on every exercise and slowly work your way up to your heaviest weights.
Doing this will get you ready for your main working sets, while helping you to avid injuries.
“I love lifting heavy, but we had to warm up to it. It wasn’t just the case of just throwing weight on. You warm up to it, make sure you’re ready, and then go for the heavy weight. And get as many reps as you can with the heavy weight.”

Talk about an intense workout!
Once again, Simeon Panda sticks to his powerbuilding chest template with 2 heavy compound movements and 2 lighter isolation exercises.
“It’s four core exercises, and I go hard on them, with different rep ranges, and lots of volume.”
For this workout, Simeon decides to go heavy on the flat bench press. He works up to over 400 pounds and makes it look easy!
Keep in mind, Simeon Panda is able to incline press the 170 pound dumbbells.
He has an incredibly strong chest, so don’t attempt his weights unless you are already on his level!
Of course, these heavy workouts can take a toll on your body. Simeon says he tried to take up boxing, but he wasn’t able to recover from boxing in addition to his heavy bodybuilding style workouts.
“I tried to take up boxing for a little bit, and I didn’t change anything in terms of my other training.
It didn’t work. I was in there, just keeping my arms up was hard. Obviously it’s a balance.”

Simeon Panda Chest Workout #3
- Exercise #1: Flat dumbbell press, 4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Exercise #2: Hammer strength incline press, 4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Exercise #3: Machine pec dec, 4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Exercise #4: Cable crossover, 4 sets of 8-12 reps
Here is the training video:
Talk about an intense workout!
As usual, Simeon Panda performs a total of 4 exercises for his chest, including flat dumbbell presses, hammer strength incline presses, machine pec decs, and cable crossovers.
“It’s essential to have two pressing movements in your chest workout.
I do presses and then I move onto flys. For the second press exercise we’re going to do an incline hammer strength press.”
Simeon says the isolation exercises may not look as important as the heavy pressing exercises, but they still play an important role in his chest workouts.
These exercises work the chest through a full range of motion and really overload the chest in the stretched position.
Simeon says he doesn’t normally perform the pec dec machine, as it can be hard on his joints. However, he was training in a new gym with one that felt great, so he went ahead and gave it a shot.
“We’ve done our presses, so we’re moving onto flys. I don’t use the pec dec very often. I don’t know why.
To be fair, different gyms have different pec decs. Some feel comfortable to me, and some don’t, so I normally avoid it.
Today I’m going to use it because this pec dec machine feels quite comfortable.”
This is great advice from Simeon Panda.
If you have exercises that don’t feel right for you, then yo may be better off skipping them.
On the other hand, if you are in a new gym with new pieces of equipment, don’t be afraid to experiment to see if the new machines work better for you!
